Usually people who have less money are using rickshaws in Mumbai for travelling to the airport, because the rickshaw fare from most suburbs to mumbai airport is almost half the cab fare.
Also in many suburbs it is very difficult to get a taxi.
Some like the broke domain investor also do not have a smartphone to book uber and other cabs.
However in the last few months, there has been a change in the airport rules, and the rickshaws are told to halt some distance away from Terminal 1, of Mumbai airport at Vile Parle
The traveler has to then walk some distance with the luggage before they can get hold of a trolley for keeping their luggage
This is inconvenient for those who come to mumbai, mainly for shopping, and are having a lot of heavy luggage, which they have to carry manually for some distance.

It would be interesting to find out why the change in rules was implemented because six months ago, the rickshaw would drop passengers till the airport building.
